Faves
iOS & Android · In developmentEveryone already keeps mental top-ten lists — favorite games, films, albums, restaurants. Faves gives those lists a real home, then lets you compare them with the people whose taste you actually trust.
The idea
Ten slots. That's the whole constraint.
Rating everything out of five stars tells you very little. A top ten tells you everything — because to put something in, you have to take something out. Faves is built entirely around that trade-off.
Each list holds ten fixed slots in a single category. Adding an eleventh title means deciding what it beats. The result is a list that actually reflects your taste instead of a pile of things you happened to enjoy.
And because a ranking is only interesting next to someone else's, Faves is social by default: follow people, watch their lists change, and send titles straight into their queue.
Three ways to rank
However you think about your list.
Different categories want different shapes. Faves gives you three, and you can switch between them on any list.
Numbered top ten
Drag and drop into ten ordered slots. The strictest view, and the one that forces a real decision at every position.
Tier boards
S through F rows for when precise ordering is overkill but you still want to separate the greats from the merely good.
Flat list
No ranking at all — just everything you've saved in one category, with cover art, ready to be sorted later.
What's in it
Built like a real catalog, not a notes app.
Lists by category
Keep separate top tens for games, films, albums, restaurants, and anything else worth ranking. Each one stands on its own.
Rich cards, not text
Titles arrive with real cover art, genres, and release years, so a list reads like a shelf instead of a spreadsheet.
Follow people you trust
Taste is personal, but it travels. Follow friends and see their lists shift as they change their minds.
Send recommendations
Push a title straight into someone's recommendations inbox instead of losing it in a group chat.
An activity feed
See what the people you follow have been ranking lately — a running picture of what's good, from people rather than an algorithm.
Your list, your call
No scores averaged across strangers, no global leaderboard. The only ranking that matters here is yours.
